Paint Me Like I Am by Jessica Rice

People laugh at me,
but I just say, "Paint me like I am."
My dream will come true one day
when people least think it will.
I take chances everyday, but when people come my way,
I just say, "Paint me like I am."
I might be saying paint me like I am because am complex.
My hues are blue, red, pink, and green,
but most of all, I am black.
So paint me like I am.
