The 2010 Homecoming Week was fantastic! We had the best pep rally in WCS history. Everyone had so many wacky ideas for this year’s spirit week! This year’s spirit week days were multi-color day, holiday day, twin day, camo day, and of course, everyone’s favorite- blue and gold day! We had elementary through high school dress up on these awesome but crazy days. The whole school dressed up, making that week so exciting.
The Homecoming Pep Rally was where we mostly got pumped. It was kindergarten through 12th grade, and the elementary kids showed the most school spirit. We had a great laugh when Coach Mac, Coach King, and Coach Tepper had to dress up as cheerleaders and cheered at the pep rally with everyone. Then we went to the Homecoming Parade! This year’s parade had so many floats for anyone that wanted one. There were floats ranging from classes to queens. We were even able to get the former homecoming queens to be in it too. After this entire wacky school spirit event, we had the Homecoming Game against Dixie!
The game was good because the football players played their hardest, cheerleaders cheered their cheers correctly and the band played their songs wonderfully! PAWS had a blast with all the little kids chasing him and signing autographs.
Then to top everything off, the Homecoming Week ended with the crowning of the Homecoming Queen! This year’s Homecoming Queen was Haley Erskine. Overall this year’s homecoming week was a lot of fun for every grade, class, and for the whole school!
